Per
matociquala,
jeffvandermeer and
tobiasbuckellwho are doing it, and I want to be cool too, here's my default work/life schedule:
| Weekdays when I am home |
| 5:30 am | Get up, shower, quick prance through morning email and blogroll. (I am often up before the alarm.) |
| 6:00 am | Arrive at Day Job. (Home office is up a flight of stairs from bedroom.) |
| 11:00 am | Lunch. (Usually out, with someone, because otherwise I'm alone most of the day.) |
| 3:00 pm | Wrap up Day Job, begin hanging with the_child. (Except Tuesdays, when I go to the coffee house right at 3.) |
| 6:00 pm | Get to work on writing or personal projects. |
| 9:30 pm | Go to bed. |
|
| Weekdays when I am on the road |
| 6:00 am | Get up, shower, quick prance through morning email and blogroll. (This is affected by time zone issues and travel fatigue.) |
| 7:30 am | Arrive at Day Job. (In Omaha, this is a 15 minute commute.) |
| 5:30 pm | Wrap up Day Job, go to business dinner or personal time. |
| 8:00 pm | Get to work on writing or personal projects. |
| 10:00 pm | Go to bed |
|
| Weekends |
| 7:00 am | Get up, shower, quick prance through morning email and blogroll. |
| 8:00 am | Either start hanging with the_child or get to work on writing or personal projects. (I try to do one day of each on typical weekends, except I almost never have a typical weekend.) |
| 9:30 pm | Go to bed. |
There's probably more, but that's the default routine. Note no time for television, gaming, pub crawling, concert going...
