No most commercials still suck. But the music is better on them.

The gems like this are rare and far between, unless you watch one of those "worlds greatest commercial" shows. And then they're usually non-US ads, and interupted by domestic crud.

Wow! (From the raucaus, brainless sounds coming from the TV area when I am downstairs fixing food, sounds like commercials are same as ever.)

Did you catch the one with the zillion bouncing balls going down a steep road in SF? It was linked all over last year.

Aardman Animation (home of Nick Park, who does Wallace & Gromit) did some Ariston commercials a while back. They've always had really great talent working for them.

That was beautiful.

Half-expected Steve Irwin's voice-over.

That's a great commercial. But I have to admit, my favorite is still the Honda ad that's one big Rube Goldberg machine. This whole thing was done in one shot, no special effects. They had to do it something like 46 times before it worked all the way through. It is well worth the watching.
