ellenscult has pointed me to Hub Magazine, a new on line market. They're currently paying £15 for flash to 1,500 words. Check it out.

Actually, they're a print magazine. Thing is, they're only open for submissions at certain periods (which they only announce on their own website, as far as I can see), although they're open to e-subs then.

If they're open to submissions for the print version, then they ask for 2K to 6K stories, and pay 25 pounds per 1K words. I know, because my story "Transcendence Express" is in issue #2 (with Vincent Chong's cover artwork illustrating my story).

That they've opened to flash fiction is new to me.

I got the flash info from reading the Web site as it's currently constituted. Go figure.

And is this a new handle for you?

Not really. After a remark from a certain Kynn (that's the handle, don't know the person) on Nick Mamatas's LJ I decided to get an LJ account just to comment on other LJs without the hassle of being screened, or bounced as spam, or whatever.

I have started a blog called In the Plane of the Ecliptic, but I'm not gonna do a blog *and* an LJ.

Fruitful day today, so far: got tickets for Rush, sent a packet to my sister in Australia, bought a book for my nephew. Now I've only got to finish my taxes and do a rewrite. If I wasn't on teh intarweb so much I might get something done...;-)
