After realizing just how correct Kung Fu Monkey was, I suddenly had an insight to why public opinion about the war in Iraq is in the state it's in: we know we've turned from liberators to bullies during the course of the war, but we cannot comfortably reconcile that knowledge with the realization that if we stopped being bullies smaller but nastier bullies would take over the place.
