Per ktempest, meez.com is very biased toward a specific demographic, which does not include her or me. In my case, they didn't have my body type (middle aged spare tire), they didn't have my beard color (salt and pepper), they didn't have a male hair option below the shoulder.

Clearly I have failed by not being a slim, under-35 hipster. Am I allowed to be on the Intarwebs any more?

I think you're still allowed on, you just can't, you know, post anything. Especially if you know how to spell.

Yes, but you're a codger. One of those bitter olde souls who, while an early adopter, failed to make billions and retire to tour the world in your highly-plugged-in yacht.

Therefore, you're irrelivant to marketing.

Just like me.

You're allowed to be on the internet. You just have to stick to AOL owned sites, and you can NEVER EVER post about music anywhere for any reason. Because nobody cares what an old fogey thinks about his caveman music.

Welll...I'm not the shape of a lego block; does that mean I'm excluded from making a lego block mini me? It's just you as something you're not, really, for most of us with most of these things.

I find your remarks insensitive to the needs and aspirations of Lego-Americans everywhere. For shame...

I think they're kinda creepy to begin with. I couldn't find my hair style or color and I'm pretty happy about that. The freckles made mine look kind of alienish, which was pretty cool.

Well, they got my scrawny, pasty legs right, anyway. I guess it's no longer hip to be a redhead though. Ah well, I still live in the 80s.

See, if I had the mad leet skillz I'd create Geez.com, and it would let people build dollz with various body types/faceshapes/hair color and styles.

I'm holding out for someplace that lets me build a doll that will more or less look like a fifty one year old woman with improbable red hair. Meez? Not so much, but then I haven't seen any other doll making site with anything like that either.

There's a lot of the Intarwebs I am way too old and uncool for. I console myself by shaking my cane at them and telling them to get off my lawn.

I didn't know how easily you could get hold of the Library Journal, I thought you'd be interested to know that the 5/15/07 issue offered up a great review of Mainspring.

After describing the book's plot, the reviewer (Jackie Cassada of the Asheville Buncombe Library System, North Carolina) said "Lake's first trade hardcover novel presents an original and intriguing vision of an alternate Earth during its period of Enlightenment." After another line about the plot the reviewer adds, "All but the smallest libraries should consider this for their sf or speculative fiction collections. Highly recommended."

Just thought you'd like to know, since knowledge is power and all that.

Do what you want.

The slim, under-35 hipster requirement is only if you are posting from a handheld device.
