Well, today is Mainspring Day. Powell's | Amazon ] (It's also my parents' anniversary, so marital felicitations to them as well.)

Hooray, we managed to find its secret lair!



Sän caught it for us, thus sparking a discussion as to who would actually purchase the book (and read it first).



However, I enacted the law of somewhat amusing Volkswagen commercials, which ended that discussion.



I would have read it through the night, but I actually elected to sleep for a while and finish it in the morning, because I didn't want to waste the language of it on a half-asleep brain. Besides that, I couldn't put it down - not because I needed to find out the inevitable conclusion (which is the case in most "page-turners" I read) but because I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
