larbalestier points to this rather astonishing go-round over the financial aspects of writing, between Victoria Strauss and an aspiring writer, as documented on the Writer Beware blog.

Reversing the Casimir force — Does this mean we'll have practical levitation soon?

Naked before God — The long, strange trip of Christian nudists.

The Omphalos hypothesis — I have always wondered how Young Earth Creationists explain their God's need to lie to His creation in every detail of the physical universe. I guess that makes me a Last Thursdayist.

You might be a Last Thursdayist, I might be, too, if it weren't for the fact that Unicornism is just so darn pink! (I'm such a girl...)

How do you make the links and make LJ link the name of another LJ-er?

Looks good to me. (I copied your code into this comment.)

That's 'cause I copied your code directly, with a cut and paste. I don't understand how it works, which is the only way to reproduce it in some mythical and/or hypothetical future, especially if Next Thursday comes early. I'm working on it. Perhaps more tomorrow. You post enough that finding something to comment on is pretty easy. Incidentally, do you get little brownie points for all the comments on one of your posts? 'Cause I'll be artificially ramping up the score, here!

I've gone and played with the posting page, as compared to the commenting windows, and boy, are they different.

PS, you have to look at those on the Web screen, not in your email...I did encoding so the HTML wouldn't be rendered.
