Recent arrivals in the mail here at Neuvo Rancho Lake include a copy of Brian Slattery's Spaceman Blues: A Love Song Powell's | Amazon ]. 2muchexposition was kind enough to send it along from the marbled halls of Tor World Headquarters as a thank you for some early support by me of the book. There's even some blather from me on the cover. This is a very twisty, strange book. Go check it out, y'all.

The bound galley of bram452's An Autumn War has also turned up. As regular readers may recall, my enthusiasm for this book knows no bounds. Really, really go buy the first two books in his Long Price quartet, A Shadow in Summer Powell's | Amazon ], and A Betrayal in Winter Powell's | Amazon ]. This series needs to grow legs so we can keep bram452 busy for a long time to come.

I am midway through Terry Pratchett's Making Money Powell's | Amazon ]. Discworld hardly needs any pimp from me, but I just thought I'd mention it.

Next up, squirrel_monkey's The Secret History of Moscow Amazon ], followed by Mark Ferrari's The Book of Joby Powell's | Amazon ] (which I suspect may be on its way to bestsellerdom).

Lucky man, you got an advance copy of Secret History of Moscow--I'm *really* looking forward to that one.

He'd never write in it anyway.
