I recently pointed to this commentary which concerned Mainspring Powell's | Amazon ]. I posted in haste — as casacorona quite correctly points out, that's not a review so much as a rather interesting essay which takes Mainspring as its starting point.

Another reader reaction to Mainspring

One of my Orycon critiquees speaks up, rather bravely — Props to him.

The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming — (Thanks to willyumtx.)

Irrational Men — The Angry Black Woman (a/k/a ktempest) riffs on some recent harsh comments of mine concerning religion. We have a exchange of views in comments on her post. Worth the read if you're interested in racism or secularism.

More discussion of the Kincaid piece going on over (toward the bottom) here at Ben Rosenbaum's place. You should come straighten us out before I make any more poorly-justified sweeping statements -- esp. since I haven't gotten my hands on a copy yet -- about what the book's about. :)

The Sony reader is really cool hardware and some of the worst software I have ever seen. Terrible user interface.

the last Nerf commercial I watched was visually stunning in its display. I also noticed that the kids running around shooting each other with the Nerf product were actually in their 20's.

Goodness, The description of that book is worth the price!
We got a ray gun version of the nerf rifle at Disneyland, it's a Buzz Lightyear toy, and makes really coooooool sounds when launch the nerf bullet. Spike loves it!
