lasirenadolce asked me last night if I'd set aside working on "The Baby Killers", based on my post about it yesterday evening. No, that was poor phrasing on my part. I just meant I had other things to do right then. (Like, say, proofing typeset pages of Escapement Amazon ].)

That novella is going slowly (by my standards) because of the very dense line prose, the very strange voice, and some damned quirky plotting. But I am having Big Fun with it, and will be back on it this evening after Day Job and spending time with the_child.

Jay,

I have been reading about you on Jennifer Jackson's blog, and a few others over the past few months. Plus, I've been a lurker here.

I just read that you're going to be one of the authors at the South Carolina Book Festival, which is awesome because I only live 45 minutes away, and thought I would have no reason to come until I ran across your name! Do you know what date and time you'll be presenting/speaking/etc. The book festival website did not provide any of that information. Thanks!

Hey there Tyhitia. Thanks for the note.

I'm on a panel discussion Saturday 2/23 from 12:40-1:30 pm. I also have a reading in the 4:30-5:20 pm time slot that same day. I'll be at the various public and group fictions as well.

Thanks, Jay! I look forward to meeting you there! It is so great that they finally have a fantasy author! (You) I plan to be done with my edits by then and give my betas will have my novel, so I can relax (a little) and enjoy the festival. My novel is the first in my urban fantasy series and I actually plan to get an agent this year, so we'll see! :*)
