Hey Jay - here's a literary question for you.

If alliteration occurs when the first consonant of two successive words matches, is there a word for when the last consonant of a first word matches the first consonant of a second word, like "football league" or "vampire ritual" or "office supplies"? The matching consonants make the words really flow together, making the text more poetic, but I'm wondering if there's a name for that.

That reminds me of my Days In Radio, where more than one disagreement erupted because of such words. In normal life, we slur the words together and that works just fine. But to some radio pronouncers, it's an art form to stop between each word. Sounds artificial but often does sound professional. I'm guessing the practice goes back to when radio was newer and reception was less clear.

I'm planning on hanging around the BellaRosa Books table for a while on Saturday, handing out bookmarks for my soon-to-be-released, so maybe we can say hello!

Dang, dood, I'd love to have your frequent flyer miles. Do you use those? And if so, how the hell do you keep track of them?
