[photos] "I study nuclear science, I love my classes"

One last set of photos from our visit to the Hanford site. The US Navy's decommissioned nuclear reactors are stored there. We got to visit them. Giant cannisters the diameter of a submarine hull, basically, sitting in a trench what am. This is cool, right? Even cooler was the reactor tug, a vehicle used to tow the decommissioned reactors from the Columbia River barge dock up to the burial site. Reportedly it makes 2 mph under load.

I so want to take this thing for a joy ride.

Note in the above right photo, the vehicle is about 3.5 Nordleys tall.
