Hey Portland (or Seattle) peeps. Any idea where I can buy a button machine in PDX or SEA as a walk-in customer?

Display & Costume Supply in Seattle has them. http://www.displaycostume.com/

Michaels craft stores may also have them http://direct.where2getit.com/cwc/apps/w2gi.php?client=michaels&template=locator&city=portland+&state=OR&postalcode=&country=US

Okay I tried to respond and the machine gronked. If something anonymous shows up, it might have been me.

My question is, do you want the round, metal backed pin/buttons? Or do you want the plastic sleeve that takes something the size of a business card?

And, not to be overly nosey, but they are all over the internet, why do you have to walk-in?

Coz I need one tomorrow or Monday, and am trying not to pay for rush shipping on a 20 lb package...

The round metal backed pin type.

I think your friend akirlu owns one that she doesn't use every waking minute of every day.

I have a button-maker, 2 1/4 inch kind with the metal back. What do you need?

Actually, come to think of it I have two, one that is for higher volume and a cheap one for just making a few. I also have plenty of button parts.

I think the TSA would have something to say about anyone selling a button machine in PDX or SEA. After all, buttons have those pointy things on the back that might be used as a weapon.

Oh. I see. You mean in Portland or Seattle, not at the airports.

As Emily Litella might have said, "OH! That's different. Never mind!"

It sounds like your problem is already solved, but just in case, check Art Media. There's also a plethora of scrapbooking stores and I know that at least one of them carries a button maker. I just can't remember which one.
