The Three Stooges of the Apocalypse have apparently taken control of Portland's weather today. 50 degrees and sunny, rain, snow, peanut sized hail, all at varying intervals. The neighborhood around Nuevo Rancho Lake currently looks like Currier & Ives on meth.

Spring, where art thou?

I hope tomorrow's better weather for flying.

Yeah, the dogs were outside enjoying the sun and 5 minutes later barked to come in because it was hailing on them. It's nuts.

Yes? You called?
It was a mixed bag when I rolled in on Wednesday afternoon, and ended up hailing as I left. Pretty wacky.

"Three Stooges of the Apocalypse" for the win! LOL

I was very pleased to get to see you at Norwescon. And I eventually found Mark Bourne, so that all worked out. :)

Meh. Typical Willamette Valley spring day.

It ain't spring until you've had rain, snow, sleet, hail, and sunshine, all within 15 minutes of each other!

(And, meanwhile, somewhere along the Valley floor, a farmer cautiously eyes a looming funnel cloud).

Seriously, this is actually a fairly typical spring weather scenario, especially in a La Nina year, and that includes the funnel cloud... I've seen hail pile up to about 3 inches deep when I was a kid living down in the Eugene area.

I was joking with a colleague (next on our phone tree for two-hour delays and weather closures) that she'd probably hear from me on Monday. Now I'm beginning to wonder if it was really a joke, looking at the weather forecast.

*shrug* Sounds like normal Nebraska weather to me. Dunno what all the fuss is about.

There's a reason I don't live in Nebraska...

Hey, you actually got to fifty degrees. I'm jealous. We haven't had a fifty degree day (when the average for this time of year is in the mid-50s) since a week ago yesterday.

Oh, and it snowed enough that it actually stuck. My poor daffodils were supine.
