Walked a little bit yesterday. Who knew bipedal locomotion was such an achievement? (Not to mention typing.)

I spent a bunch of last night dreaming I was pooping. Ah, wish fulfillment.

More later when I have more energy.

I am alive.

Hey, they both take years to learn. Think about reading.

I dreamed of you pooping too.

Your stools were of prodigious size, multi-colored, and could speak Portuguese.

Good to hear, and we expect you to keep breathing for multiple decades more...

I introduced my parents to your LJ, and they expressed their good wishes. My mother was quite impressed by your volume and quality of your writing. Note: they are reading yours and not mine. In particular Mom chuckled over the semicolon... English teachers would after all... :)

Having discovered that I would have been the third person to say "welcome back", I decided not to do that. It's a cliché.

Rest up, though, okay? You are the energizer bunny, but some surgeons have just tried to disembowel you. They tidied up afterwards, but that's got to take a lot of recovery. OK?

Yay! I'm so glad you've come through okay. Be sure to take care of yourself and not push yourself too hard.

Oh, Jay,

So good to hear your "voice." It was a relief to get "updates" as things progressed.

I just read your post to J.C. We are both so glad to hear you were up for a walk. What can you eat now? Are you able to have clear liquids?

The updates are nice, but words from your own mouth/fingers are a surprising relief! Congrats on being vertical - but take it easy, please!
