The Guardian on how readers choose books — (Snurched from Scrivener's Error.)

Donkey Sent To Prison For Attack — The story actually makes a bit more sense than the headline would suggest, but still... (Thanks to lt260.)

Ahem. Let's be clear here: This effort is in honor of you, fella, not your cancer. The cancer just happened to be the catalyst. We're celebrating your survival and the generosity you showed by asking for donations for the Clayton fund. As I wrote in the article that will appear in the elongated collectors' official newsletter (a copy of which I'll be sure you get):

He’s also unfailingly generous and, as previously mentioned, a staunch friend. Several years ago, a neighbor of his fell on hard times. He immediately launched a charity auction to benefit her family so that they could have a special Christmas. As an author, he’s aware of how much work it takes to write a novel, so when one of his friends succeeds and sells a book, he often mentions their books in his Live Journal so that others know about it. In short, Jay’s touched a lot of lives and done a lot of good work himself. When I heard about his illness, I knew that the best thing I could do to honor him was to follow his example.

Are we clear? ::grin::

I currently live in Florida. I can't tell you how it warms my heart, whenever Clinton says she wants the primary that wasn't, here, counted now, and all for *my* sake.

seen this story?

appalling of course, but I love the use of the phrase "the young mother of two's..."

You don't often see an apostrophe 's' on the word two.
