Making with the eye babies — A description of Pensacola Christian College. While I realize that many of the world’s great universities have roots as religious schools, the increasingly high profile credibility of Evangelical diploma mills (especially law schools!) has frightening implications on a number of fronts.

Republicans, Democrats Differ on Creationism — Gallup with a poll on Creationism and evolution. Cripes, I don’t know why they’re blaming Republicans on this one. According to this piece, less than 20% of Americans across the board poll for a purely natural explanation. Our entire country is infected by idiocy. Repeat after me: spiritual truth is not equivalent to empirical truth.

The websites link is very, VERY fun! I hope you don't mind me asking, but what method do you use to embed your LJ on your website? It's one of the most seamless inclusions I've seen.

The LJ is not embedded on the website, actually. That site is where the content is written and edited, and it has a wordpress plugin that then syndicates the content over to LiveJournal.

The methods Livejournal uses to go the other direction give you next to no control.

Wow, you aren't kidding - LJ's options are simply terrible. Thank you so much for your reply!

To call Pensacola Christian College evangelical is a disservice to Evangelicals. The students a PCC are taught that Evangelicals are liberals and one step short of Hell. PCC is a Fundamentalist haven as are Bob Jones University and Hyles-Anderson College.

I grew up in the Fundamentalist culture and attended Hyles-Anderson and had many friends at Bob Jones and PCC, these places all have the same mindset of indoctrinating young minds to prepare them to live in the Devil’s (secular) world.

I transferred from Hyles-Anderson College to Liberty University, an Evangelical school. You’d thought I had chosen to transfer to Eat-Dead-Babies U. by the reaction I got from and the faculty at HAC. “I had turned my back on God’s will,” the Dean told me. I told him, “you don’t know God’s will for me.”

Anyway suffice it to say there is a great difference between Fundamentalist and Evangelicals. Saying that, I’m neither any more, I don’t believe any religion has a franchise on God or the Truth.

I agree, anyone who believes in the literal 6 day creation is infected by idiocy.
