Worked the Day Jobbe, spent a bunch of time in the small room, went out for a Mexican lunch, wrote almost 1,000 words on “The Forests of the Night”, hit the beach twice, once for sunshine and once for fireworks.

A good enough day. I shan’t need to send it to the Returns Desk after all.

The inevitable photo:

>>spent a bunch of time in the small room, went out for a Mexican lunch<<

That's reversed from what most people experience.

I've been meaning to ask you - what camera do you use? Your pics are fantastic!

It's a Canon PowerShot SD550 -- sub $500 consumer-grade digital camera. Really good for close up work, decent at portrait range, adequate at a distance, awful for true wide angle work. It's also the size of a pack of cigarettes, which is amazingly convenient for portability.

I don't think they make the 550 anymore, but there are certainly very similar successor models. It's my favorite digital camera I have ever owned.
