Despite Assurances, McCain Wasn’t in a ‘Cone of Silence’ — Interesting. Apparently despite assurances to both campaigns, McCain and/or his staffers had an opportunity to preview all the questions by listening in to Obama’s talk. The last line, a protest from the McCain campaign, is very telling as well. Mmm, I loves me that Straight Talk.

“The insinuation from the Obama campaign that John McCain, a former prisoner of war, cheated is outrageous,” Ms. Wallace said.

Ha! It's truly as if she threw in the "former prisoner of war" line automatically. I wonder if she orders for McCain too: "Senator McCain, a former prisoner of war, would like the Filet O'Fish and a large Sprite."

Perhaps if McCain does win the election, as a consolation we can just keep referring to him as "John McCain, a former prisoner of war" instead of "John McCain, the US president".

What the Hell does McCain being a former POW have to do with anything in this context?
