[conventions] WFC Day One

In late, tired, crashing out. This morning’s mishaps were followed by a very nice afternoon and evening, highlighted by some quality bar time with a cast of dozens, extremely pleasant dinner with casacarona, calendula_witch, and a very nice Tor editor and her spouse. Good reading this evening too.
