I love how few people who oppose stem-cell research understand that it's a by-product of invitro fertilization. What are you going to do, sell your embryos to someone who promises to bear them? Not exactly a market for that.

In the same vein, I've never understood how the Evangelical movement can be so accepting of IVF, given their stances on so many other reproductive issues. I mean, I'm not an idiot -- IVF brings children, which is a core good to them (and me) -- but it seems so, well, patently self-serving, given the oft-stated principles of that worldview.
