Can Technorati Beat Google at Blog Search?

It might, if it wasn't a sucktacular suckfest that made value judgments on whether a blog is a blog or a forum or community. They only index blogs, and if you don't meet their definition of "blog" you're out. I originally had extended hugo_recommend to non-LJ users via technorati tags, but they stopped indexing it.

It would be nice if a Borders buyer (or reorganizer) could recognize that they should stop trying to clone each other. Differentiation! Because they all sell the same thing at the same price, except for the name on the door I can't tell B&N from Borders.

With that, it comes down to management, and B&N has obviously got better or luckier management at the moment.
