Poll #1322314 Why I should win an ARC of Green
This poll is closed.

Who's explanation for why they should win an ARC of Green is the most compelling?

Mark Siegal: Because on my recent birthday, I made a goal to write and submit 10 novels in 5 years. Reading your ARC would help motivate me to achieve it. And as thanks, I’ll tuckerize you in my first published novel, whenever it may arrive.
1(1.2%)
R. Schuyler Devin: The gods of speculative fiction wish for me to partake of Green’s prose, and read it before the masses; to proclaim its literary virtues to the Lake-onites and to non-believers. ...
1(1.2%)
darkerblogistan: Because if you don't, the terrorists have already won.
2(2.3%)
joycemocha: Because I took the picture? Also because, dude, hey, dude, I had you using the ARCs to fight off the ski bum zombies on your way to Radcon, duuuude.
1(1.2%)
selfavowedgeek: You know you liked that "intelligently designed" comment in my rambling review of Mainspring.
0(0.0%)
selfavowedgeek: I have pimped Mainspring with a few students whilst we were studying the Restoration and, well, had to discuss some Deism. You're welcome.
1(1.2%)
saycestsay: Well, I'd say it's obvious why I need a Green arc; but confidentially? I need a primer on how to be an alien green-haired upside-down-in-trees-hanging assassin for that new temp job I start next week.
10(11.6%)
tchernabyelo: As a welcome gift for my new life here in the USA. And because it matches my eyes (well, it would if it actually WERE green).
6(7.0%)
johnnyeponymous: As I will be sitting at a Furry convention, working a table, and will need something to keep my mind off...things.
13(15.1%)
kmarier: Because if I don't infuse my brain with regularly scheduled adult content, the mommy-brain will start to take over. Prevent this madness!
0(0.0%)
frogworth: a) I still haven't received my copy of The River Knows Its Own (true!)
1(1.2%)
frogworth: b) I loved the story in um... that online venue that starts with "A". Bugger. That one. Although I really can't wait for your space operae, but that's irrelevant.
0(0.0%)
frogworth: c) My brother works for one of the Green senators in Canberra. OK, that's a long shot.
1(1.2%)
graygirl: We could review the book for you at purplepens.com; we would also love it, pet it, and call it George. ;)
0(0.0%)
tbclone47: Because I'm Green with envy.
0(0.0%)
skidspoppe: Because if I didn't get one, I'd be blue...
0(0.0%)
paulcarp: I don't deserve to win an ARC for my own reading pleasure. Do it for charity.
0(0.0%)
kzmiller: Because over 80% of your donation will be used to help feed, clothe and educate me.
0(0.0%)
pauljessup: Because if you do the world will be all puppies and unicorns, and we'll shit rainbows and sherbet and fart ice cream and baby monkeys will pop out of the ground and give us all waffles. ... Mmmmm. Monkey Waffles.
6(7.0%)
klingonguy: Hmmm, this has never worked before, but there's always a first time... Because I'll review it in Klingon!!!
14(16.3%)
renegade500: So I can pleasure myself while reading it. Oh and because I have green hair. :-)
1(1.2%)
cscole: 1. Because I read your posted excerpts while you were writing it and thought it was incredibly intriquing.
0(0.0%)
cscole: 2. Because I'll forever be trying to learn from your writing and a copy of this will help.
1(1.2%)
cscole: 3. Because I'm one of those people who never win anything.
0(0.0%)
cscole: 4. Because I didn't drool on it when I held it shortly after your photo was taken, but wanted to. (Good photo, btw, joycemocha!)
0(0.0%)
cscole: 5. Hmm, Christmas is coming?
1(1.2%)
dionysus1999: Because I told my nieces and nephew that you're the REAL Santa Claus. You wouldn't want to disappoint them now, would you?
0(0.0%)
fledgist: Because, after being tortured by a sequence of crimes against the English language (a.k.a. final exams), I am entitled to relief.
1(1.2%)
nolly: 1) I'm giving my mother Mainspring for Christmas.
1(1.2%)
nolly: 2) I bought Visual Journeys in the helpvera auction
0(0.0%)
nolly: 3) I rock (but only occasionally roll)
0(0.0%)
saveswhat: Because I was robbed by the Esperanto posse!
0(0.0%)
blogtiderising.wordpress.com: I need a self-help guide.
0(0.0%)
mastadge: Because my eyes are green, as is my favorite color, and I work at a green workplace promoting green to young and old (and the uniform for my previous job: also green), so my reading material should be Green as well.
1(1.2%)
mcurry: Because I die in it. Surely that deserves at least an ARC!
5(5.8%)
yourbob: Because.
1(1.2%)
janellelohr: I've long had a love affair with green, culminating with a green wedding dress. Now that the honeymoon is over, perhaps reading Green can remind me what is so special about the color.
2(2.3%)
crookedfeet: A. So I can review it for ConNotations.
2(2.3%)
crookedfeet: B. Also so that I can get a jump on next year's reading.

3(3.5%)
musingaloud: The cover image of Green is from an old photo of me taken during a more unrestrained period of my youth (hereafter referred to as "that time in Oregon"), and how Jay got hold of it, I'll never understand.
3(3.5%)
sheelangig: Because we know where you sleep. We even know when.

Aurgh. Another poll I didn't get involved in due to my job. This would have been perfect for me, since green is my lead favorite color, my eyes are mostly green, and my name means that time of year when the green pops forth out of the earth. But, supporting you as an author is important too!
