I have a vertical cut across the palm-side of the lower knuckle of my right index finger. Rhinotillexis efficiency has been compromised. Also, this isn't so much good for the typing.

Grr.

Many dedicated rhinotillexisists find that the little finger (i.e., the "pinkie") of the dominant hand makes a perfectly serviceable substitute.

As a side note, the Klingon word for "pinkie" is qanwI'. Curiously, the verb qan, meaning "be old" (with respect to age), and thus qanwI' also means "one who is old." As such, a bit of Klingon nonverbal slang involves pointing at someone with one's little finger to indicate they are old.

I can only hope and pray that there is an elderly character in Green.

You can pick your nose, but you can't pick your finger injuries...?
Nah, doesn't quite work. Hm.
