Obama puts the heat on Republicans — Go get 'em, tiger. Though my favorite sentence in the story is this one: Moderates from both parties have complained about spending projects, such as smoking-cessation programs, that don't seem geared to giving the economy a jolt. It disingenuously implies there are moderates in the Republican Party, sustaining the press's ongoing pro-conservative narrative of false equivalency in political goodwill between the sides.
