Those of you who have been following my Twitter feed already know this, but I am in the ER in Portland this afternoon. This is following up on yesterday's medical silliness at Casa calendula_witch.

So far I've been EKG'd, x-rayed, blood drawn, poked, prodded, digitally examined and generally fooled with. Now drinking the tracer dye cocktail for a CAT scan in a few hours. Current thinking is colonic adhesions, as long term side effect from last year's cancer surgery. Other theories are on the table, too, but the docs think it quite unlikely this is a resurgence of the cancer. I'm not letting the Fear kick my ass, but it's lurking in the corners of the room.

More as it develops. Meanwhile, a seksy photo of me:

Jay Lake: a man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him! We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic writer. Jay Lake will be that man! Better than he was before! Better, Stronger, Faster.

Now to develop a keyboard that can withstand the incredible pressure of his bionic typing!
