Subject: Long goodbye (to books)
Interesting article. As part of my education I studied media transformations--oral culture, manuscript, print, silent print, electronic; the changes in the way people thought and related to each other as a result of the media environment. Will books become as "marginalized" as oral media--say, the pun? The joke? The conversation? Or will books go the way of the codex and the palimpsest?
