I'm glad she wasn't too elfish to share that.

Exactly how high up is this elf? I mean, what if the elf was afraid of heights? Or is she pulling the "elves live in trees" thing so naturally they're not afraid of heights.

*pssht* Artists man, can't leave 'em alone for two minutes...

That's easily as good as what I did when I was fifteen or sixteen.

What kind of art supplies does she have at her fingertips, for creating elves and such?

Well, her mom's an artist, so she's in a house full of pens, pencils, paints, markers, etc. Lots of paper. Several of those poseable figure models. Loads of photo references on the human form.

But mostly the kid has her imagination.

That's excellent. I'm glad to hear she has all that stuff with which to experiment. You can't hand someone talent, but if they already have it, you can hand them a variety of media.

hrmph, my first thought was, that's no elf, that's csinman! :)

And a darned good representation, too... that girl is talented.

Her perspective is excellent and her proportions are right on. She's really growing as an artist.

Not bad. Interesting choice of landscape, though.

The elf is good, but the turf-pillars are wicked. I'm totally putting those into my next story.

Good elf, which incidentally, and if you'll pardon the pun, I wish as an outcome for you ;)
