Thanks for link to the comments on cities. Nice. Loved what you said. Every city holds the future and the past inside. I see the streets of ancient Alexandria while I walk in Seattle. People are people. They do people things.

Veliko Tarnovo? Yep, gorgeous place. I love Balkan architecture and going to places like Bansko and Melnik was a huge influence on me (though I'd actually started writing Slavic-based fantasy well before going). And the monasteries! Rila is just breathtaking, and Rozhen is a film set waiting to happen...
