it sounds like Limbaugh is attributing this idea to some hypothetical third parties.

'Hate radio' hosts do a lot of convoluted sarcasm and put words in the mouths of straw men. It stimulates listeners to call in and argue with the hosts.


RUSH: We need segregated buses. It was invading of space and so forth. This is Obama’s America.


The 'invading of space' suggests that someone (speaking for "Obama's America") said the white kid was invading the space of the black kids by being on that bus.
