Oh, Jay, I read, "Our Marketing Plan" yesterday, and almost spit coffee on my keyboard I was laughing so hard, especially that part that relates, "we'd be happy to send you a list of bookstores in your area as soon as you fill our form and provide the addresses of bookstores in your area."

That isn't an exact quote, but . . . we've all been there. Hah! This piece is just so funny.

The first time I ever asked a publicity director--just in passing--what she might be doing to promote the book, I got back a long (copied and pasted) letter that began:

"Thank you for your question. Let me tell you what you can do to promote your book. First, do you blog?"
