Wit and wisdom of the_child, as excerpted from conversations we had in the car driving to and from my parents' beach house this weekend.

Concerning raindrops on the windshield: "How come they don't all roll up the windshield by themselves? Why do they combine and make little rivers?"

Concerning the English language: "If we want people to learn English, why did we decide to make all these crazy words that sound alike but spell differently? Whose idea was that? Why don't we change it?"

Concerning the sky: "Oh, look at those cirrus clouds. Like souls in the sky. Souls caught in spiderwebs."

Concerning her question concerning the English language: that's one of the reasons Esperanto is nice! Send her to lernu.net. :)
