Random Thought for the Day

As I was brushing my hair this morning, it occurred to me that we live in a society which chooses to pay $100 million to a man who's good at hitting a ball with a stick, but can't find money for poor children to see a doctor.

I don't care what your politics are, that one's hard to justify.

...and since I'm on the subject of politics

Ask yourself if you know and understand the difference between single-payer healthcare and single-provider healthcare. If you don't, if they both sound like "socialized medicine" to you, then you can thank a half century of GOP, medical and insurance industry obscurantism and deliberate obtuseness.
