Cake

Cake

Cake is the past participle of dining, the veritable sweet finish to what should otherwise be a smorgasbord of tastes, flavors, scents, smells, textures and small dingly things you can't quite get off on your napkin. Cake is the Platonic form of dessert. Cake is what the peasants were meant to eat, though the word had a different sense when Toney Old Marie said it. Cake is a band. Cake is what sand does between my toes. Cake is sweet and nifty and walks like an Egyptian.
