[conventions] My Worldcon programming schedule

Here is my Worldcon programming schedule. I am being conservative with my time due to illness and fatigue issues, and will likely not be very available in the evenings or at parties. (Except for Hugo night.) You will catch me out and about during the day, however. Note, I am not taking part in "Stroll With the Stars" due to my mobility impairments.

[travel|photos] New Zealand travelog recap - sunrise over the Pacific and Kaikoura dolphins

In Kaikoura, NZ with this post. I woke up early that morning, and went across the street to stand on the beach and watch the sun rise over the southern Pacific Ocean.

Later that day, we took the boat from Dolphin Encounter Kaikoura, and went out on the water to swim with a wild pod of dusky dolphins. It was tough for me, as I discovered a tendency towards panic attacks when immersed in the deep ocean. [info]the_child struggled a bit, but bore up and kept swimming every chance she got. Some of the rest of our party were not so lucky. (Lisa Costello wisely remained at the hotel, as she does not get along well with small boats.) Even with all the challenges, the trip was very worth it. Even if it was a three-hour tour.
