Tonight, the lovely and talented calendula_witch and shelly_rae helped me make art out of a mixture of misery, love and spoons.

Spoons from my family

The new brand upon my wrist

Cancer makes me sad

The project in its full glory

54 spoons

2 beautiful women

As usual, more at the Flickr set. (Also not work-safe.)

why is it that no matter what at some point and time I tend to always get to see people I know naked?

I am glad your having some fun with all this stuff.
The photo of you on the bed reminds me of the russian orthodox saint paintings.

Here's wishing you all the spoons in the world (at least the metaphorical kind)!

Oy, where's the blinders? NSFW?!? How about not safe for keyboards?
Still it is good to see you having some fun with it all.
May you have enough spoons both real and metaphysical to see you through this.
And thank you again lovely ladies for doing so much for Jay.

I love how Shelly and Shannon are both wearing the same shade of green, and you are wearing nearly nothing.

to spoon: to show love or affection by kissing or caressing in an affectionate manner (at least according to my dictionary).

How appropriate of all of you.

I am in love with that rainbow spoon! Where do I get one of those?

Did you roll around naked in the spoons?

Sadly, I did not roll around naked in the spoons. I'm all for rolling around naked in general, especially in company, and are many things I'd be willing or interested to roll around in, but those spoons were not truly made for such adventures.

This is the best. I wish we had thought of doing something this fantastic when my mother-in-law did chemo.

Future generations will know you as Saint Jay, patron of atheist nerds with cancer.

They will not know why one of your emblems is the spoon.
