Every time I go to the infusion center, I take the cancer mail and go through it there while I'm in the big chair. You guys are amazing. Thank you for the hats and spoons and blanket.

More awesome gifts from friends and fans...

With the trilobite hat, even under the circs, do you not worry about the whole alien facehugger subtext?

Just musing aloud.

You know, I was going to make you a hat...but I'm not in that kind of league, knitting-wise. Maybe I should sew you a hat instead?

Got a color you like? Fabric? Something soft and fuzzy or something sleek and silky?

Soft and fuzzy seems to be the thing these days. And I favor bright, even violent colors. (Think of my shirts...) :D

Okey-dokey. Will go fabric-hunting tomorrow. You wouldn't care to tell me your head measurement, would you? (In case I cannot find any stretch velvet...)

I have a freaky *huge* head. Men's 8-1/4 hat size, whatever that translates to in actual inches diameter.

What an awesome blanket. The hats are cool too, as are all the spoons, even if only one is pictured here.

The blanket is truly a thing of great beauty. I covet it. Right now though it's covering Jay as he sleeps in the recliner. A tremendous amount of work went into it the making of it. saycestsay I'm impressed.

Jay has received close to 70 spoons so far. I plan on blogging more about the spoon project soon.

That's a nice long lifetime's worth of hats you've got there. Now you have to live the rest of a nice long lifetime to wear them. That's the rules, sorry...

For all you're going through, Jay, you are looking really good even without the hats. Kudos to you for going through the Chemo Tango and still looking great.

Looking good. The hat looks great on you. We did get it for a combination of the fun look and warm comfort.
