My problem with tweetsnark, such as it is, is that you tend to buy the rest of my twit-list, since I don't tend to keep Tweetdeck up as much on the weekend.

So, that's more of a meta-answer than anything.

and by "buy" I meant "bury."

I can't imagine anyone paying good money for that collection of miscreants, ne'er-do-wells, and maladjusted hooligans. ;-)

Kiss Meets The Phantom of the Park. As easy as a target as it is, there's a lot of material within for maximum Tweetsnark-mania.

And feel free to snark away at me, because I still have a copy of the movie on Laserdisk!

I don't mind it in and of itself, but since every tweet is going to Facebook, it does make it hard to get through up the status updates page easily (since you have to keep clicking to get additional updates that are below the fold). I don't imagine there's a way to flag those posts so they don't all come through from Twitter to Facebook?

Actually, yes, I can manage that. (Assuming the Facebook audience generally doesn't want it...)

I suggest you start a separate twitter account called something like jlaketwitsnark or something similarly appropriate so that we, who would like to see these things, can "follow" it and it won't interfere with your facebook or regular twitter followers who don't want to be bothered.

Also, Watchmen would be a fun one about which to read your twitter snarkage. (Proper grammar still sounds awkward to me.)

Using a separate account is a great idea.

It'd be interesting to see what you'd say about Battlefield Earth, but then I have a semi-guilty addiction to MST3K.

Subject: OT: some nonsense for you
http://www.newsweek.com/id/233844/page/2

The builders of Göbekli Tepe could not write or leave other explanations of their work. Schmidt speculates that nomadic bands from hundreds of miles in every direction were already gathering here for rituals, feasting, and initiation rites before the first stones were cut. The religious purpose of the site is implicit in its size and location. "You don't move 10-ton stones for no reason," Schmidt observes. "Temples like to be on high sites," he adds, waving an arm over the stony, round hilltop. "Sanctuaries like to be away from the mundane world."

That was me, bemusedoutsider. What nonsense, what circular reasoning...!

Here's something more serious.

Some problems with a recent study purporting to show liberals more intelligent than conservatives.

Intelligently written critique, anyway.

You might hunt around for Godzilla vs King Kong. It is absolutely the worst of a fairly snarkable genre, and that makes it quite wonderful. It's also an incredibly easy target, but it gets less eye rolling and more outright laughing and pointing. I try to watch it whenever I feel miserable.
