Quick update:

Slept 8.5 hours last night. This is cramping my style, but keeping me healthy. Shedding day has been a two-day affair. Otherwise, doing pretty well.

Were you one of those five hour sleepers before the chemo?

And healthy is good.

Pre-chemo, 6 hours of sleep, 18 hours of high energy per day. I am famously the Energizer Bunny. Or was.

I now sleep 6-10 hours per day on chemo, have 6 hours of moderate energy and 3-4 hours of low energy per day, most of which I spend at my Day Jobbe, and a little of which I carve off for writing. Plus exercise, every day. Balance of time not sleeping is spent lying in an easy chair.

On chemo, my discretionary time (for writing, housework, socialization, etc.) has dropped from about 7 hours per day (after exercise, day job, etc.) to about 1 hour per day.

All of which makes you the Energizer Bunny of of Chemo patients. Ah, those Patients who have no patience.

First time shedding day lasted much longer--3 or 4 days I believe? You're figuring it all out--with a little help from your friends. So glad that you've got an extraordinary team looking after you.

It's a lovely day for a walk here. I'm going to see if my Beau Bruno wants walkies...

Whatever it takes to heal you is good, though. We want a healthy happy Jay.

Your chemo state is pretty close to my norm. I generally need 8-9 hours of sleep, have 4-5 high energy hours during the day, 1-2 moderate hours of energy, and 1-2 low energy hours, assuming I have watched my diet and not eaten anything that day that generally puts me into a coma.

Don't know how you pull of the 18 hours of energy and 6 hours of sleep on a normal day. I couldn't do it. I don't maintain a healthy mental or emotional state if I don't get regular down-time.

Ah, so that must be why I have no style.
