[writing] Progriss riport

"The Stars Do Not Lie" is done in first draft at 20,400 words. That's my steampunk religious lost colony story. Draftier than normal, due to the exigencies of writing on chemo, but perfectly fixable methinks.

I'm proud of two things at this moment. One, I estimated the story at 20,000 words before I started. And hey, look where I landed... (Yes, that has aspects of a self-fulfilling prophecy, but still, it's a neat trick.) Two, it's a substantial piece of new material written through chemo.

So, erm, go me. Rewrites to come, once I've turned in Endurance. The novel's next round of revision starts tomorrow.
