I love the fact that we live on opposite sides of the planet and yet the f-list of the people in my town are also full of frocks and garlands and Maypoles.

That is a beautifully-wound pole (I say this as one with many years' experience dancing Maypoles--the last when I was just two days away from the birth of my older daughter...)

I've never gotten to participate in a May Day gathering, so I feel like I lived vicariously through these pictures.

Also, I LOVE the Mother of the Child's dress.
