The Main Reading Room at LC is gorgeous, but if you want a good view of the Anacostia, RRI airport and the Navy Yards go eat in the cafeteria at the top of the Madison Law Library. If you ever want to feel like you've walked into a Clancy novel, take one of the tour of the tunnels underneath Capitol Hill. When I was working at LC, I could go to the post office, grab lunch at the House office building and hit Starbucks on the way back without ever having to set foot outside. There's something vaguely surreal about walking through a dimly lit corridor with steam pipes overhead, dodging the occasional electric jeep, and suddenly finding yourself in a huge rotunda with 20' Grecian statues at the cardinals.

Tastes great.

My own favorite Best & Worst wedding present at the same time was "Marriage Counselling Sessions" for the new couple (not actually carried out alas - they sure needed them before long, though)
