Wow, she's got a very developed graphical sense of positive and negative space. That's enormously sophisticated work.

I agree with this comment wholeheartedly. That artwork would make a wonderful large print.

I shall have to enquire of the artist, who may know.

:) it would be nice to know what she thinks they read....

and that is a beautiful simple piece of work, that conveys so much more than it actually is...

I don't suppose parents ever get tired of hearing how talented their kids are. If you do, i apologize, but that's one talented kid! I've been looking at her artwork on LJ, as well as reading your blog, for a couple of months now. This is my first comment.

When i first started reading your blog, i skipped over all the cancer posts, because, well, i'm not that interested in your personal life. Recently, they caught my attention, so i know tomorrow is an important day for you. I will be thinking of you and wishing you the best possible outcome.

I enjoy the link salad and posts on writing. :)

That's why I put the [bracketed tag] in front of each blog entry title... to make it easy for readers to filter. :)

I look forward to seeing more work from your budding young artist. She's what, 12 years old? I'm very impressed with her work.
Does she do non-digital art as well?

Yes, she's rather accomplished with crayons and pencils, and also paper cutting and 3D paper sculpture. (I've posted photos of some of her paper sculptures in the past.)
