Shame your miles weren't with Air New Zealand! They have lie-flat seats in business class, because Kiwis KNOW how horrible that flight is. (Then going on from LAX to London? Even peachier.)

In case I forgot to mention this, there's an amazing restaurant at Te Papa, New Zealand's national museum in Wellington. It's got something like four or five stars (I don't recall, it's been a decade or so since I was there). The museum is pretty awesome too -- you can go for a virtual bungie jump!

Have a great time. I hope you remembered to pack extra spoons.
