[personal] Minor notes

Woke up this morning with the phrase "coin-operated shrugs" in my head. No, I have no idea either.

Yesterday between appointments (ie, at the point of maximum stress) we went up the tram to the primary OHSU campus to get ice cream from the cafeteria in the main hospital. Waiting on the ninth floor for the elevator down to the third, one car kept getting stuck. Something was wrong with it. Because it was stuck on the ninth floor, none of the other cars would stop there. We spent almost ten minutes waiting, during which I became incredibly frustrated and lost my temper. Finally, we rode an elevator up, then back down. I suppose that is in fact funny, but at the time it was kind of horrible.

It looks like my mother will not be discharged today, as had been suggested. I do expect her out of the hospital tomorrow, and thus moving temporarily into Nuevo Rancho Lake. She is doing well, and appreciates all the good wishes.
