Regarding the Jewish view of creationism article: interesting stuff but, yes, flawed. I'm rather of a mind with the commenter who said (with somewhat tortured sentence structure):

"Proving" that religion isn't stupid or anti-scien­ce by finding a medieval scholar one can make say something "scientifi­c" is not what will redeem convention­al religion from its increasing irrelevanc­e. Only if the wisdom and practices - not its wrong metaphysic­s - actually work to help us flourish as human beings, feel greater awe, wonder and humility about the human adventure in this 14 billion year Universe, be kinder, more compassion­ate, ethical, and loving - actually get the job done religion is supposed to do will our ancient religions be of value...
