A transcript of last night's #sffwrtcht on Twitter

Book Lovers Fear Dim Future for Notes in the Margins — Interesting comments on marginalia. (Via Dad.)

Snopes.com on the 1895 exam I cited yesterday — Interesting deconstruction. (Thanks to [info]willyumtx.)

Black Widow Steampunk Chopper Extreme Custom Motorcycle Mod — Wow. The mind boggles. (Via CSC.)

The New VirologyFrom Stuxnet to biobombs, the future of war by other means.

An Internet designed for space — To boldly packet switch where no man has packet switched before.

How they roll — Wisconsin governor plans to trick state senate Democrats into returning so he can force a quorum. Once again, he can't win on ideas, he won't negotiate, so instead he'll cheat. Family values for the win. (And yes, the irony of how this information was gathered is not lost on me.)

Statement of the Attorney General on Litigation Involving the Defense of Marriage Act — Hooray. Meanwhile, New Hampshire Republicans get their stupid on even more than usual over gay marriage. Anyone connecting gay marriage to Shariat Law is making a desperate cry for help. I can't think of two things more opposite.

?otD: Are you a snowbunny or a sunbird?

As if politicians believed their own lies and propaganda! No, they're just hamming it up for the rubes. It's a good gig, really. Would you rather they went back to biting the heads off chickens?

More of a snowbunny; it’s easier to warm up than cool down when the temperature’s at an extreme. Though I haven’t been skiing in 20 years. These days I’m more of a hearth cat.

In other links, maybe someday we'll have that flying car after all:

Has Indian inventor REALLY made a Back to the Future style flying car?
