Not much to say about yesterday. Busy, productive, portions of the day were very engaging. I walked with a friend in the morning, got 2,500 words done on Sunspin (barely, mid-session I overran my writing notes without realizing I was going to do so, and had to retrench), spent a number of hours sorting receipts and paperwork for tax filing (which brought back a number of difficult memories), helped [info]the_child with some homework, and entertained a visiting friend in the evening.

Today will about the same, except with less friend time and more tax work. How are you reveling in your weekend?

re: "How are you reveling in your weekend?"

Enjoyed the family time. Did not make time to go fishing yesterday, alas, but definitely enjoyed rewatching Reign of Fire, said rewatching the result of my son wanting to see it. Bonded over B-movie dragons. Daughter showered me with artwork all day and into the evening. Lovely Wife and I just chilled, otherwise.

On the writing front, I still haven't met my self-imposed 1k-2k prose quota but managed to revise two poems, write one about constellations, and began yet another. Productive on the verse end of the writing spectrum, in the least.

Still recovering from Friday night squats and good mornings at the gym.

Tumbling thoughts of wrapping up Macbeth with two classes and diving headlong into the Restoration with two others.

Flying back from a quick trip to Denver for a String Cheese Incident concert (which always happens in groupings of 3-4 nights). Dealing with sick DH and DS on the way, hope to heck I don't get the same gut bug they have.

Yesterday = Boardgaming with friends, including
* a nice nostalgia trip for me (playing WarpWar, which I used to play about 30 years ago)
* first time playing the oddly themed but thinky Duck Dealer which I recently acquired in a charity auction
* Boggle in Polish (in 12 rounds I amassed 4 points).

Today = Reading, and later going to make sushi with other friends. (Fishless sushi in our case.)

Yesterday was mainly roller derby class, in which I met my goal of sucking a little bit less than last class. Then I canceled plans to go out and laid around saying being achey, instead. This morning, hiking with the hub and the dog. Later, housework and then date night with the bf.
I am glad I did my taxes a few weeks ago.

I'm in the Richmond airport right now. My husband and I spent the weekend here visiting my aunt, uncle, and cousin. My aunt is my "other mom" -- my mom died of cancer in 98 and Aunt Deb is her younger sister... she teaches yoga, and we got to take one of her classes. My younger cousin is about to graduate from college with a degree in biomedical engineering. He brought his girlfriend over last night and the 6 of us stayed up late playing Apples to Apples. It was awesome.

Yesterday I helped clean up the house, did two thousand words on a new short story, one thousand on my novel, and went to a housewarming party.

Today it's returning some baby things we were given duplicates of, then more writing and eventually dinner as the doula has begged off out meeting for tonight (apparently helping three mothers give birth in four days is a little tiring...).

Yes, very much so. I'm a little torn, I want him here in that I'm very enthusiastic to meet him and start on this whole fatherhood thing and I want him to wait a little bit longer (wife is due on the 26th but that doesn't mean too much) so I can finish the bloody book. *grin*

I usually write between 10PM-2AM. Something tells me that my quiet nights are going to be going away...must take advantage of them now while I can.

Ran the Shamrock 5k this morning & did not die much. Ran errands this afternoon. Looking for a board game or other social-impersonator-stuff for the evening.

I overran my writing notes without realizing I was going to do so

What're writing notes and how do you use 'em?

Oh, just loosely speaking in reference to my outline, and the in-manuscript notes that rise up from it.
