not much of threat or menace (size matters), but chickens would eat you, if they could.

Because nothing says Dear Mom, I Love You like formerly poor men being chased across revolutionary France by detectives gone vigilante...?! Disturbing. Then again, so is giving a mom a Disney film, since the only two non-dead, non-horrid biological mothers I can recall seeing in any of them are Lady and Darling, both of whom never appear on screen AS mothers except as figures in a family tableau shot. Creepy, yes?

@Jay, Chickens: concur with the abovementioned. They would eat people. In fact, chicken feed may be soylent green as well. Feed lots / coops = recursive dinner. Eew.

Count yourself lucky with the chickens - islands in the South Pacific like Samoa instead have packs of menacing wild dogs. This is one of the reasons why those of us also resident in the South Pacific giggle behind our hands when Northern Hemisphere people sigh wistfully for a South Pacific Island paradise.

AotD: Delicious! (Did a roast chicken with pan-roasted potatoes and stuffing this weekend. Yummy and surprisingly simple to prepare.)

-- Steve finds the Flight 447 article kinda terrifying, to be honest. Not just the pitot tube issue, but also how comfy the French accident investigation board is with the industry.
