I knew there was something wrong with these tests when my daughter qualified for "remedial math" based on them and yet her teacher was giving her extra harder math work to do in class.
Also recommendation for the gifted program was based on these tests so she wasn't admitted to the program until she had an IQ test (that was done outside of school) and sent to them. So yeah, there is something fundamentally wrong with the standardized tests 15 years ago.
